By working two full time jobs for years to gain as much experience as possible, I sacrificed sleep to fit in more time to work and further my career, and my health and relationships suffered as a result. The great news is, yours doesn’t have to! Stop wasting time with “trial and error.” I can tell you this, if someone were to offer me a quicker path to success that didn’t involve the amount of labor and time and was going to provide me with the “inside track,” I would’ve absolutely taken it. Let me help you understand what you will need in order to be successful in the field of facility management or as a Chief Engineer. I labored and anguished over my career so you don’t have to!
The first 10 years of my engineering life was dedicated to mastering small, medium and large ‘real’ engineering departments working for companies including Deer Valley Ski Resort, Montage, St. Regis, and for Private Elite Developers. My last role was as a Corporate Director of Engineering and Development.
I started Engineering in late 2005, working evenings as a refrigeration tech and servicing kitchen equipment. Since then I mastered many aspects of Facility Management and as a Chief engineer including:
– Opening hotels, developing and training new teams, departments and integrating new polices and procedures.
– Recapturing more than $8 million in the negotiation of contracts, changing of equipment, development and integration of specialized programs, services while focusing on quality and substantially.
From early on in life, I have educated myself in the art of facility management, (coupled with professional/technical education) by reading books and applying these techniques to continually advance my career. Then I was fortunate enough to learn from some of the best Chief Engineers in the industry, ultimately becoming apart of their team where I excelled and finally became a corporate director of engineering before launching www.bosspitality.com
When I learned how to go from an entry level technician all of those years ago working evenings alone, thinking I would never get out of that situation, to quickly becoming a manager for a world class and highly regarded company, I HAD to share.
Often time those in power do NOT want to share their knowledge for fear of losing their position or “edge.” I am excited to help you on your journey and look forward to your massive success.
That’s how Bosspitality came about.
